Equine Health Performance

KEMPEX applies an evidence-led approach to equine performance health, with particular attention to recovery, hydration, electrolyte balance, environmental heat load and veterinary assessment. Published equine studies demonstrate that strenuous exercise in hot and humid conditions can prolong elevated heart rate, respiratory frequency and rectal temperature during recovery. Endurance research also shows that horses judged to be metabolically compromised can display greater dehydration and electrolyte depletion than successful finishers. Other controlled studies have examined voluntary rehydration strategies and restoration of water and electrolyte balance after repeated exercise. These findings support a practical principle: performance support should start with the horse, the workload, the environment and the clinical picture rather than with a universal formula.
